Day 01: Arrival at Kigali
Welcome to Rwanda. Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley, where the African Great Lakes region and East Africa converge. Located a few degrees south of the Equator, Rwanda is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Complete your airport formalities and Covid tests (if any) and come outside the arrivals hall. The hotel will transfer you to have a 24 hours quarantine as you wait to receive your results.

Day 02: Kigali City Tour
8:00am; enjoy a Kigali City tour. This includes a visit to the Parliament museum, local markets, Gisozi genocide memorial, guided walks in the city of Kigali among other sites.

Day 03: Kigali Nyamirambo – Women Foundation Project
8:00am; visit the women foundation project in Nyamirambo, learn how to make some African crafts, prepare local meals for your Lunch and also learn the Kinyarwanda cultural dancing

Day 04: Kigali- Gahanga
8:00am; Head to Gahanga to visit the RWANDA NOOK HUB, who provide self-learning space for locally talented children/young adults. You will interact and discus with the children/ young adults.

Drive back to your hotel
6:00pm; pick-up for dinner at Camellia restaurant located at KBC building
You will have an evening walk in the gardens and along the Kigali convention center

Day 05: Kigali-Bugesera
7:30am; Visit Mayange in Bugesera to conduct the Millennium Villages Tour which will introduce you to the development challenges and poverty traps in the south eastern Rwanda and the successful intervention package of the UN Millennium Village Projects. Visitors learn in hands-on way about issues such as agriculture, education, healthcare, and infrastructure and microenterprise development. This is combined with geographical and historical introductions, as well as cultural and culinary interactions. Most importantly, it is the locals themselves who present all these experiences through their own eyes.

Day 06: Gisenyi (The Lake Kivu coffee experience)
Depart with breakfast boxes and transfer 3 hours’ drive to Gisenyi to the great Lake Kivu. Conduct the ‘From crop to cup’ tour and experience which combines the stunning scenery of Lake Kivu with an education excursion that focuses on the coffee production chain. You will learn in hands-on ways bout the entire coffee production chain. You will pick coffee cherries and follow the various steps of coffee washing. Finally enjoy a cup of your own hand-grinded and traditionally roasted coffee together with local hosts.
